Ruth has guided clients through every step of the real estate process. With extensive experience in government and private practice, Ruth understands all angles of property ownership. She specializes in helping clients buy and sell property while staying in compliance with complex government regulations.
Prior to entering private practice, Ruth was a Senior Counsel in the City of Chicago Department of Law where she prosecuted building and zoning code violations, acquired property under the Illinois Abandoned Property Act, and defended the City’s low-income loan portfolio. She represented the Law Department on the City’s Troubled Buildings initiative addressing distressed properties throughout Chicago.
In private practice, she represented individual property owners and financial institutions.
Ruth is a graduate of Northwestern Pritzker School of Law, and holds degrees in History and Biology from Indiana University. She is licensed in Illinois and admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Northern and Southern Districts of Illinois.
